GM Named Officer on National Governing Board

CHARLOTTE – Jill Philmon, General Manager and Chief Operating Officer of Ballantyne Country Club, was elected as an officer for the Club Managers Association of America (CMAA).

CMAA members had the opportunity to cast their ballots online and in-person during the 87th World Conference and Club Business Expo in Orlando, FL. The election results were announced at the event's Awards and Conference Finale.

Ms. Philmon will serve as Secretary-Treasurer for the national governing board in 2014; she has completed two terms on the Board of CMAA.

The CMAA Board of Directors is comprised of 13 club management professionals who are passionate about the long-term vision of CMAA; work respectfully with staff, committees, and fellow board members, and demonstrate a professional commitment to the club management industry.

In 2008, Ms. Philmon was the recipient of the prestigious Carolinas Chapter Club Manager of the Year. She is in the mentoring program with the University of South Carolina and has served on the School of Hospitality and Tourism Advisory Board at Western Carolina University.
