Swim Team Raises Money for Breast Cancer
Ballantyne Barracudas raise more than $1,600 for BCC Rally
CHARLOTTE -- On June 27, the Ballantyne Country Club Barracudas hosted their final regular season meet against Olde Georgetowne and supported this year’s Ballantyne Country Club Rally during the annual “Pink Out” swim meet.
During the meet, the team sold snow cones, cotton candy, and pink bows to raise more than $1,600 for BCC Rally, an all-volunteer nonprofit group in Ballantyne that aims to raise awareness and funds for the Rally for the Cure campaign.
The swim team also showed their support for the cause by wearing pink swim caps. Last year, the team raised $1,000 for the organization.
The tenth annual BCC Rally for the Rally Cure, benefitting Susan G. Komen for the Cure will be held September 22 – 28 at Ballantyne Country Club. More information is available at www.bccrally.org.
